Update on the last litter. Meet the new additions.

Meet Ludo, aka Big Boy. He is now a little over 7 months old. This picture was taken at the beginning of October 2008. He is just at 75 pounds. His mom Anna is a vet tech so he recently gave blood to save another pets life. Ludo rocks. In 7 months he has managed to eat several socks and get into lots of fun trouble. He is about to move to Florida. His parents love him very much. His sister maybe a little but Tala, I am sure thinks he is a bit of a pain.

I am happy to report the puppies are all doing very well. I have been in touch with 5 owners on a regular basis. It has been a pleasure seeing them grown into adorable bulldogs. They were all placed in such loving homes. It pays to be picky. The other 3 owners are not so great with the email contact but they are providing loving homes. We were blessed with such a wonderful outcome. Our one little Angel Misfit never made it to a home because of a choking accident. Bulldog puppies eat with a vengeance so be careful. It was the only devastating part of the experience. I was pleased that one owner brought a puppy back to us when she was unable to care for him. Zeppelin (Little Loki) is now with a great family that loves him.

I am blessed to announce Bella has delivered a litter of 8 gorgeous puppies, 2 boys and 6 girls. This was not planned but due to Hurricane Ike we now have 8 new babies that we are in love with. I have felt very bad about this accident yet a dear friend has reminded me that all things happen for a reason. She is also the mom of Ludo (aka Big Boy). Our vet has confirmed that she is in excellent health. The puppies were all equal in weight to the largest pup of the last litter (Ludo aka Big Boy). They are just over a week old. Their eyes are starting to open. Some of these puppies look really bully. We have 2 brindle girls. Their entire bodies are almost all brindle minus a bit of white on the head and chest. One of these females is the 2nd largest in the litter. The other 6 puppies range from being almost all white w brown butts to being fawn and patched. Please review the pictures and their introductions. Each will have his or her own blog entry for you to follow.

Updates to each puppies post

I went back to each original post and added the pictures I took on the 13th of June (yes I changed my mind). I do still plan on adding more pictures tomorrow since they have changed so much. I also plan on adding a little something about each puppy to the posts so you can get to know their personalities.

Thanks for your time,
Christina

FOLLOW THE LINK TO OLDER POSTS SO YOU CAN VIEW THE ENTRIES ABOUT EACH PUPPY.

Were 4 weeks old and counting

The first picture is our son Hunter and one of the puppies our daughter calls Twinker. She is a little girl.
The second picture is "Little Loki" and Little Rosebud. Look at little Loki's big blue eye. His other eye appears to be turning blue as well.

So we now have 9 "real puppies" running around and pooping all over the place. They are playing, barking and just having a grand time. They definitely have their own individual personalities. The one we call Little Loki (above), who has a home with our friend Anna is kind of shy but really loving. He has a fabulous BIG BLUE eye. I appears that his other eye will be blue as well. In fact we have several other dogs who may have one or two blue eyes but the one eye little Loki has just blossomed into this bright pretty blue really early.

I took individual pictures of everyone about a week and a half ago BUT they have changed far to much to post. I plan on getting new ones tomorrow. I will post a few random shots I have taken over the last few days.

The dogs will go home to qualified and (we pray) loving owners after the 5th of July. I would prefer to keep them until the 19th so they can have extra love from one another but I know we have some loving families who may be able to give them what they need at 6 weeks. We will miss them BUT I will not miss poop duty. All I do is stand above them waiting for an accident. I will say they have ALL been going to their puppy pads for potty time. The instinct to do so is strong at this age so we hope the new owners will continue to work with them using the puppy pads. It may make house breaking a bit easier. Crate training has always worked for us.
More puppy news to come as we embark on the next few weeks and try to keep our sanity will 11 dogs under foot. I did post the individual shots from about a week ago on Myspace. CLICK HERE to visit my page

Puppy #9. FEMALE

Here is the last puppy. She is a female. She reminds me of misfit since she looks a bit different in color from mom and dad. She has a very remarkable head. She was born weighing 11 7/8 ounces and now weights a bit over 1.2 pounds.
6/24/2008- This little girl seems a bit shy. She looks like she will have brown eyes. They are really cloudy and dark. She seems to like us but hangs back and lets her siblings make the first move. She is really sweet.
6/25/2008- DATE LAST 2 IMAGES ABOVE WERE TAKEN

Puppy #8, FEMALE

This little girl is really hard to photograph. She moves way to fast. She has very unique patches. She was born at 123/8 ounces. Now she weights in at 1 5/8 pounds.

6/24/2008- this little girl is the most outgoing of the bunch. She just loves people. She gets on the side of the pool and just barks, barks, barks until we come and pet here. She just really got into licking us. She sticks her tongue out as far as possible to do so. She really will have a wonderful personality. We think she may have a blue eye. Not sure yet.
6/25/2008- SHE WOULD NOT SIT STILL. THIS IS THE DATE THE LAST 2 IMAGES ABOVE WERE TAKEN.

Puppy #7. FEMALE

This is puppy #7. She is a female. She has amazing marking on her head. She appears to have a bit of the stripping Loki has. she was born at 10 ounces and now weights 14 5/8 ounces.

6/24/2008- This puppy seems a bit like her face, mysterious. she has a bit of a look about here and a personality i have not yet placed. She is definitely a sweetheart and likes to get into mischief with her litter mates. She should really be interesting over the next few weeks.

This little girl may have a blue eye. Still to early to tell on her but keep checking the blog if that interests you.

Puppy #6. FEMALE

This is my little misfit. I call her misfit because she does not really look like mom or dad. Maybe a little but she is very unique. She was born weighing 8 3/4 ounces so she was the smallest of the litter. She has never lost any weight. She is now 14 1/2 ounces. She is a cutie pie.

6/24/2008- So Misfit has really turned into a ham. She loves people and is just a cutie pie. She seems a bit shy when it comes to going and getting what she wants although I will say now that she has started "mush" food she is getting a bit of an attitude with the others. She is a real licker.

Puppy # 5, FEMALE

This female (puppy #5) was born weighing 12 3/8 ounces. She is now a bit over 1.3 pounds. She almost looks like she has a brindle band around her. She has very unique patches.

6/24/2008- This is another one of Hanna's Twinkers. She calls all the girls Twinker. I always refer to her as the one with the band around her since she looks like she has a big brindle band wrapped around her middle. She is a really funny girl. She is always barking and howling at you. She has spunk and attitude. I think She may also have a blue eye. Were not sure yet.
6/25/2008- DATE THE LAST 2 PHOTOS ABOVE WERE TAKEN

The other boy. puppy #4. Big daddy.

This is big daddy. He was the largest puppy of the litter. He has Loki's tiger stripping. His head is mainly white except for the ears. He was born at 13 3/4 ounces. He now is 1.3 pounds. He eats, and eats, and eats. This puppy is always eating. He is a big boy.

6/24/2008- Surprisingly Big Boy is shy and does not like me. He only likes Kevin. He hurts my feeling because I'm mom (and Bella of course) after all. He is really, really shy. He is also really clumsy. maybe b/c his head seems so much larger then anyone else's. Who knows. I am trying my hardest to bring him out of it and he is coming around. he LOVES to play with his puppy family, just not us people quite yet. it is truly so funny how different they all are from one another.

Big Boy looks like he may have 2 blue eyes. Were just not sure yet.
