Puppy #9. FEMALE

Here is the last puppy. She is a female. She reminds me of misfit since she looks a bit different in color from mom and dad. She has a very remarkable head. She was born weighing 11 7/8 ounces and now weights a bit over 1.2 pounds.
6/24/2008- This little girl seems a bit shy. She looks like she will have brown eyes. They are really cloudy and dark. She seems to like us but hangs back and lets her siblings make the first move. She is really sweet.

Puppy #8, FEMALE

This little girl is really hard to photograph. She moves way to fast. She has very unique patches. She was born at 123/8 ounces. Now she weights in at 1 5/8 pounds.

6/24/2008- this little girl is the most outgoing of the bunch. She just loves people. She gets on the side of the pool and just barks, barks, barks until we come and pet here. She just really got into licking us. She sticks her tongue out as far as possible to do so. She really will have a wonderful personality. We think she may have a blue eye. Not sure yet.
6/25/2008- SHE WOULD NOT SIT STILL. THIS IS THE DATE THE LAST 2 IMAGES ABOVE WERE TAKEN.

Puppy #7. FEMALE

This is puppy #7. She is a female. She has amazing marking on her head. She appears to have a bit of the stripping Loki has. she was born at 10 ounces and now weights 14 5/8 ounces.

6/24/2008- This puppy seems a bit like her face, mysterious. she has a bit of a look about here and a personality i have not yet placed. She is definitely a sweetheart and likes to get into mischief with her litter mates. She should really be interesting over the next few weeks.

This little girl may have a blue eye. Still to early to tell on her but keep checking the blog if that interests you.

Puppy #6. FEMALE

This is my little misfit. I call her misfit because she does not really look like mom or dad. Maybe a little but she is very unique. She was born weighing 8 3/4 ounces so she was the smallest of the litter. She has never lost any weight. She is now 14 1/2 ounces. She is a cutie pie.

6/24/2008- So Misfit has really turned into a ham. She loves people and is just a cutie pie. She seems a bit shy when it comes to going and getting what she wants although I will say now that she has started "mush" food she is getting a bit of an attitude with the others. She is a real licker.

Puppy # 5, FEMALE

This female (puppy #5) was born weighing 12 3/8 ounces. She is now a bit over 1.3 pounds. She almost looks like she has a brindle band around her. She has very unique patches.

6/24/2008- This is another one of Hanna's Twinkers. She calls all the girls Twinker. I always refer to her as the one with the band around her since she looks like she has a big brindle band wrapped around her middle. She is a really funny girl. She is always barking and howling at you. She has spunk and attitude. I think She may also have a blue eye. Were not sure yet.

The other boy. puppy #4. Big daddy.

This is big daddy. He was the largest puppy of the litter. He has Loki's tiger stripping. His head is mainly white except for the ears. He was born at 13 3/4 ounces. He now is 1.3 pounds. He eats, and eats, and eats. This puppy is always eating. He is a big boy.

6/24/2008- Surprisingly Big Boy is shy and does not like me. He only likes Kevin. He hurts my feeling because I'm mom (and Bella of course) after all. He is really, really shy. He is also really clumsy. maybe b/c his head seems so much larger then anyone else's. Who knows. I am trying my hardest to bring him out of it and he is coming around. he LOVES to play with his puppy family, just not us people quite yet. it is truly so funny how different they all are from one another.

Big Boy looks like he may have 2 blue eyes. Were just not sure yet.

Puppy #3. FEMALE, aka Dali

So this puppy is probably one of our favorites although we love them all. My husband thinks she is really awesome. We call her Dali since she reminds us of a Dalmatian. She reminds my sister-in-law of a Panda Bear. She has black on both of her little ears. She was born weighing 10 3/4 ounces. She now weights a little over 1.2 pounds. She is a feisty little girl. She wines if she is away from everyone. I think she seems like she will have a lot of Bella's spunk. Out of all the comments in regards to group photos, this is the pup that everyone mentions. She is a real sweetie.

6/24/2008- So Dali as well call her is changing colors almost daily. Her patches get more stripped everyday. She is turning into more of Loki's color. She is just funny, funny, funny because she loves to attack the other puppies. She is really mellow with us. Not quite sure what to do with humans yet but that's normal at such a young age.

Puppy Number 2, MALE. The first born. Little Loki Jr.

Excuse blogger (and me of course) for not letting me line these photos up properly. It is driving me nuts. Here is the first born. We call him little Loki Jr. He does not have the tiger stripping that you see on Loki but his marking are very similar. He is a nice big, healthy boy. He was born weighing 11 1/4 ounces. He is now a pound and a half. He seems kind of mellow like his dad. Not as aggressive as the other pups but definitely getting his share of moms milk and love.

6/24/2008- So little Loki is a family favorite. My son hunter LOVES him. He is excited that we know we will always see him a click away since he is going home with out friend Anna. Anna is studying to be a vet so we are extra excited about all the special love and health care tips he will get. We could not be happier for little Loki who will soon have another name we get to blog about. My hope is that the new owners will contribute to the blogs as the puppies grow. We would love everyone to remain as an extended family.

Little Loki has the most gorgeous bright blue right eye. His left eye looks like it to will be blue but is taking a bit longer. He has the sweetest personality. He seems very laid back like daddy. Big Loki was so mellow as a baby. He still is but loves people so I say that only to be proven wrong when someone comes around. He gets really happy when we have company.

Meet puppy number 1. FEMALE.

I like to call this puppy Rosebud because my grandmother had a Yorkie with the same name. She just passed away so this little puppy is reminding me of my grandmother. For record purposes we are labeling her puppy number 1.

She weighted in at 13 1/2 ounces on her birthday. She has not lost any weight. She is now 5 days old and weights a little over 1 pound and 3 ounces.

Rosebud has a small cut on her back side. she was doctored. We have no idea what happened. She got the cut the day after she was born. We had stepped away from the house and just assume it was an accident on moms part. She has been very careful with her babies BUT she is a large bulldog so accidents can occur. She is healing well and has never stopped gaining. Although it broke my heart to see the cut. We do think it may possibly scar so we will have to just keep an eye on how the cut progresses as she develops.

6/24/2008- I am happy to report that little Rosy will have a very, small scar. it healed wonderfully. By the time all the hair grows back you will hardly notice it. She looks like she may have a blue eye as well. She is a sweetie. We held her the most since we had to check her constantly due to the cut. She is very chill with people and loves to play. She looks the most like Bella. She is so fat its funny. she reminds me of a little pig when she eats. Much like her mother who will eat ANYTHING (I am referring to Bella of course).

The cutest picture

Just an update on the litter. All is well and everyone is gaining. No crying, just bonding. They are all sharing a kids pool we bought since a whelping box is just a joke. American bulldogs and whelping boxes don't go hand and hand. They are just to big.
Having our litter has been a ton of work but so much joy. My husband had to assist in the birth. This is Bella's first litter. It all went wonderfully.
My plan is to now make a post for each puppy. I will update the blog as time goes on with weight, attitude, and of course photos. Please let us know if anyone has any questions.
BOTH DOGS ARE REGISTERED WITH NKC (NATIONAL KENNEL ASSOCIATION). THE PAPERWORK ON THE LITTER WAS SENT OFF TODAY.
We just moved so I am working on unpacking their papers so we can post their bloodlines on the blog. More to come ASAP.
